Kübler 53, subtle blend of nine aromatic plants, will delight amateurs as well as connoisseurs looking for rich and complex flavours. A traditional absinthe from the Val-de-Travers.
This absinthe is distilled traditionally, using only natural products grown in the Val-de-Travers.
Its XIXth century recipe includes grand wormwood, lemony Melissa, hyssop, petit absinthe, green anise, fennel, star anise, coriander, and a little production secret.
Yves Kübler is right to qualify his absinthe as real green fairy !
Nose : Suggests lightly spicy notes (coriander) on a background of fennel and wormwood. Discrete anise.
Paladar : Well-balanced between mellowness and roundness on notes of absinthe and fennel.
Finish : Good length, fresh.

Before the 53° version , a 57° version of Kübler existed. On 1st of March 2005, the end of the ban of production enabled the house to produce a considerably improved Kübler 53 version.
Since 1863, Kübler absinthe is distilled in the Val-de-Travers.
The Kübler house was awarded many medals before having to close for 28 years in 1962.
Yves Kübler, Küblers founders great grandson, took over the house in 1990 with a friend of his. They were then 23 and 25 years old.

- At first, savour Kübler 53 with half a piece of sugar. Then according to your taste, add more or less.
- For one measure of absinthe (3cl), add 2 to 5 measure of fresh water.

Well balanced and beautifully flavoured, this is a 'never be without' selection. There is something of a shy complexity here which cannot be denied.
At 1 litre, Kübler is incredibly good value.
In spite of being barely proof, Kübler has the potency of higher proof counterparts and provides all which is hallowed in a Swiss bleue.

This absinthe is a great deal. At first I did not enjoy it. It took some effort to find the right mixture of water and what not, but once I found it this became quite a milky treat.

Affordable price, well balanced & refreshing flavors, potent considering the lower alcohol, and it comes in a full liter. This stuff is a great deal. I've bought it several times now, and will again in the future.
