The Absinthiades will take place on October 2-4 in Pontarlier of course. Don’t miss the opportunity to discover the mythical atmosphere of the Green Fairy !
Outline of the tasting contest
Just like every year, 3 juries will take part in the contest: the professional jury, the VIP jury and the popular jury. The final classification comprises the results of the 3 juries put together. However, it will be possible to consult the results of each separate category (it can be amazing to see what differences there are !).
The functionning of the tasting contest will be slightly different this year in order to respond to the comments and demands made in the past years. The two main changes are:
- that the macerated absinthes won’t be part of the contest
- that the “Vertes” will be separated from the “Blanches”
Therefore, whether one is part of the first or the second jury, one will either evaluate the “Vertes” or the “Blanches”… and one cannot choose in which jury one wants to be (I’ve already asked…).
Note that the distillers choose themselves the category in which they decide to put their absinthes.
How to be part of the popular jury ?
It’s very easy. You just have to send us the following information via the contact form (and type “popular jury” in the subject box) :

You have until September 6 to subscribe (please participate only if you are really interested so that we don’t reserve places unnecessarily).
The winners will be selected by a draw and you will be advised by email if you are part of the lucky applicants.
