It's pretty easy to guess where this absinthe is made. Judging by its name "La Berlinoise", this can only mean the capital of Germany, Berlin.
This absinthe is double distilled after a traditional absinthe recipe for a classic Swiss Bleue from the Val-de-Travers. This is where the makers of La Berlinoise were taught how to distill absinthe. They took the recipe and their know-how to Germany and created an absinthe that shares many characteristics with a classic Bleue from Switzerland, but shows a much more dominant wormwood profile.

La Berlinoise was the first absinthe made in the capital of Germany, Berlin. You may not want to call it a distillery when you see the place for the first time: It‘s a kitchen! One immediately thinks of the time when clandestine bath tub distilling in the Swiss Val-de-Travers was very common, due to the absinthe ban.
