Absinthe Abisinthe 72 72% - 70cl

Abisinthe 72 is a bitter absinthe with a simple taste. It will suit amateurs of absinthes light on the palate. Ideal to refresh yourself. Abisinthe 72 won a bronze medal a the 2004 Concours International des Eaux de Vie de Fruits in Metz (International Contest of Fruit Brandies) The ancient recipe of this sugarless absinthe is obtained especially by distillation of a mixture of green anise and wormwood. However, many other plants, finely selected, are also part of its composition: star anise, fennel, gentian or even mugwort. Abisinthe 72's natural colour is obtained by infusion of plants.

Serving Suggestion

- At first, savour Abisinthe 72 with a piece of sugar. Then add more or less according to your taste. - For one measure of absinthe (3cl), add 2 to 5 measure of fresh water.

- Alain Aureggio, heir of the Lemercier distillery, based himself on 65 absinthe recipe to create Abisinthe 72 absinthe. - Abisinthe 72 is delivered in a dark bottle so that the sunlight does not damage its natural green colour. - During the Belle Epoque, after Pontarlier, Fougerolles had the highest number of producers of absinthe. Sometimes some of the casks used in Fougerolles were sent to Pontarlier to cover their needs.

History

Lemercier distillery is a family firm founded in 1811. It has always been in the hands of the founder, Nicolas Desle Lemercier's family. Since 1991, after having achieved commercial studies, Alain Aureggio, also member of the Lemercier family, is at the head of the family firm.
