Amave is our absinthe of the month! Until the end of April you can get 10% off this absinthe and a free sample of OMG Gin.
In our opinion, Martin Zufanek is the producer of the finest Czech absinthe. Absinthe Amave just confirms the fact.
In hindsight, the absence of a blanche from Zufanek's range is surprising. What with all the other experimentation and collaborations going on, resulting in the fabulous St. Antoine, Mead Base, Grenouille and L'Ancienne, perhaps he just hadn't got around to it yet. We are glad he has now found the time.
Absinthe Amave, the first Blanche from Zufanek, was worth the wait.
Amave is an aromatic clear absinthe, that takes its inspiration from classic Swiss La Bleue, the kind that was produced during the absinthe prohibition.
Absinthe connoisseurs will enjoy this absinthe. We see this absinthe as one that is also particularly suited to those starting out with absinthe. Absinthe Amave is exceedingly easy to drink, having a well balanced taste that is rounded off by a little fruity twist.
This absinthe is produced in accordance with traditional distillation techniques and selected herbs only.

Zufanek, Czech Republic
The Zufanek Distillery was founded in 2000. At first, the family focused on the production of honey and fruit based liqueurs. In 2008, Martin started to distill absinthe and the St. Antoine was the first one of this distillery. Shortly after the launch of St. Antoine, Martin created La Grenouille, and absinthe Mead Base. What's special about this distillery is that all fruit used for the production of their spirits are cultivated on their own orchards. Most of the herbs used for the absinthes are also grown by the Zufanek family themselves. Their mission is: 100% natural products.
