Absinthe Bourgeois Poster - Canvas Print
This famous poster depicting a black cat drinking absinthe is known worldwide and remains one of the most beautiful and representative poster from 1900. Designed by the Mourgue brothers for the famous Bourgeois distillery established in Pontarlier, it takes up the codes already seen on the famous Charles Maire painting for the Pernod Fils absinthe, that is: the table, the glass, the carafe, the bottle, and above all the Pontarlier newspaper. A question remains unanswered though: what was really in the glass? For printing our posters, we have chosen a professional specialized in billboards and advertising mediums, so that we would obtain the best possible rendering. So the canvas used is a Jetex 300g (10.6oz) tissue, entirely ecological, and anti-curling (allowing the poster to retrieve its flatness once you get it out of the parcel).
