Absinthe La Berlinoise No. 4 is produced at a small distillery in Berlin, the capital of Germany. This is the 2nd absinthe from Marco Rüdiger and Christian Mock, who are also producing La Berlinoise No. 1.
This clear absinthe has a very special ingredient that gives it a unique and fresh taste: white thyme (tomillo blanco) from Spain. This variety of thyme grows in areas of more than 1200m in Spain and Portugal.
Absinthe La Berlinoise No. 4 is characterized by a fine note of eucalyptus, as well as some hints of mint and lemon balm. A little bit more star anise was used, in comparison to La Berlinoise No. 1.
When tasting this absinthe, anise and fennel come on the nose, which are followed by a delightful freshness coming from tomillo blanco.

La Berlinoise was the first absinthe made in the capital of Germany, Berlin. You may not want to call it a distillery when you see the place for the first time: It‘s a kitchen! One immediately thinks of the time when clandestine bath tub distilling in the Swiss Val-de-Travers was very common, due to the absinthe ban. Marco Rüdiger and Christian Mock, the founders of La Berlinoise, wanted to create an absinthe that resembles the clandestine story of absinthe.
