This absinthe museum is located in Auvers-sur-Oise, France, well-known for it is where Vincent Van Gogh and his brother Theo are buried. It was founded in 1994 by Marie-Claude Delahaye, who is a passionate absinthe fan and art collector. After finding her first antique absinthe spoon in 1981, Marie-Claude became more and more interested in absinthe collecting and soon found like minded friends. After organizing several exhibitions of her collections in different places, she decided it’s time to make this a permanent gig. Her collection includes anything absinthe related: paintings, drawing, sketches, absinthe books, absinthe glasses, absinthe spoons, absinthe fountains and so on.
