Dr. Adam Elmegirab Aphrodite Bitters - Cocktail Bitters - 38% - 10cl
Out of stock
The name says it all: Aphrodite bitters should not only taste nice, they should awaken erotic passion within the consumer.
Macerated in rum, aphrodisiacal ingredients like Arabica coffee, roasted cacao beans, ginseng, ginger, red chilis and chocolate are interwoven into a complex, amber colored entity with 38% ABV.
The bouquet of this aromatic bitter is reminiscent of rum, raisins, and dark chocolates with other aromas of roasted nuts and coffee. The taste of Aphrodite Bitters is noticeably not that bitter, the bitter ingredients also being dampened by sweet notes of dark nougat, vanilla, and fruit cake.
In fact, just a couple pure drops of this bitter will leave you joyful, and the final notes on the palate seem to hint at the bitters' aging process in oak casks, with differentiating aromas like curry and cardamom.

Dr. Adam Elmegirab
Dr. Adam Elmegirab's Bitters was established in 2009 from the same Scottish bartender and adviser who is known for the Jerry Thomas Project, whose goal is to recreate drinks described by the legendary "Professor". Elmegirab explains the whole project with a wink of an eye and under false pretences, the real goal being to drink cocktails every day. But they shouldn't be just any cocktails. It's all about the bitters! Therefore Elmegirab's advertising slogan: "You can't buy happiness but you can buy bitters and that's kinda the same thing."
