Before the 53° version , a 57° version of Kübler existed. On 1st of March 2005, the end of the ban of production enabled the house to produce a considerably improved Kübler 53 version.
Since 1863, Kübler absinthe is distilled in the Val-de-Travers.
The Kübler house was awarded many medals before having to close for 28 years in 1962.
Yves Kübler, Kübler's founder's great grandson, took over the house in 1990 with a friend of his. They were then 23 and 25 years old.
- At first, savour Kübler 53 with half a piece of sugar. Then according to your taste, add more or less.
- For one measure of absinthe (3cl), add 2 to 5 measure of fresh water.

It has a lovely anise strength without an opverpowering after taste much like anise candy would. It is a very gentle combination. This is a good pantry staple and keeps well.

j' ai essayé cette Absynthe parce que le François Gui était hors-stock, mais je l' ai trouvé décevante!
Ce n'est pas mon absinthe à moi!

At 1 litre, Kübler is incredibly good value.
In spite of being barely proof, Kübler has the potency of higher proof counterparts and provides all which is hallowed in a Swiss bleue.

Added on the : 01/11/2012 EnglishAffordable price, well balanced & refreshing flavors, potent considering the lower alcohol, and it comes in a full liter. This stuff is a great deal. I've bought it several times now, and will again in the future.

Added on the : 28/01/2012 EnglishA simple, quick louche leads to very crisp, clean, and refreshing drink at 3-1. Not much, if any bitterness whatsoever. I wonder if there is any wormwood in the recipe. Even on a serious evening of imbibing, no sensation was noted. It did however make fantastic cocktails! 1p kubler, 1p 100% cranberry, 2p fresh squeezed orange juice. Cheers!

Added on the : 31/08/2010 EnglishKubler's Absinthe is a typical Blanche absinthe form the Val-De-Travers (Switzerland): this one comes from an authentic 19th century recipe, but uncoloured. Instead the old one, this presents no colouration, and may be the recipe was a bit adapted too. All in all the absinthe we can taste nowadays is sweet, mellow and well balanced, product in the traditional way and with a recognizable character. Highly recommended.
