La Ptite Douce absinthe is mellow and beautifully well-balanced. A high quality “Bleue”.

It is produced from an original recipe, already used illegally before legalisation. This recipe has been updated since it was developed in 1898.
La P'tite Douce is distilled by an artisan in old clandestine stills and was developed for the asian market. The recipe of the original absinthe, La P'tite, was tailored to meet legal standards.

An absinthe with character!

This is what the distiller, Gaudentia Persoz says about her absinthe:

„At our first tasting, we were very surprised to have created such a fresh tasting absinthe. It comes with a lot of character, a pleasant round balance, and a delicate taste.

This absinthe is distilled from 12 different plants including wormwood of course, lemon balm, peppermint and hyssop from the Val-de-Travers region.

I believe that fans of sweet wormwood and aniseed will enjoy my Ptite Douce. It has become very popular in our region.“

Gaudentia Persoz, Suisse

Gaudentia one of the first female distillers. She is young, and passionate about absinthe, and distills with an historic recipe from 1898, that she found, along with a small alambic, when she and her husband purchased their house in Couvet, Switzerland.

The distillery is a member of the “Les Artisans de l'Absinthe” association – it's most popular absinthe: La P'tite. Gaudentia's husband Jean-Michel is responsible for Marketing and Sales of thei products, and together these two people form an unbeatable team.

This is a superb bleu! Well balanced and with a beautifully thick louche. Sweet enough to not have to use sugar. One of my favorites.
