Absinthe Vivide has just got even better!

What is new about the 3rd batch?
The Aixsinthe team used aromatic wormwood from the Val-de-Travers, anise from the south of Spain, and fennel from Provence for this batch. Furthermore, they colored the absinthe with home-grown herbs.

The perfect balance of herbs makes this absinthe wonderfully complex. Thanks to the Spanish anise, Vivide got an entirely opaque and almost perfect louche.

What remained the same?
The recipe is still the same as in the beginning. It took Jan Hartmann and his 3 friends over 1 year of development and 104 test distillations before they had the perfect recipe. Vivide is still made with a wine alcohol basis and 10 different herbs.

Marc Thuillier has written tasting notes for the 2nd batch of Vivide. Here is his update on the third batch: "the Vivide never stops to improve, with even better herbs, thus a more round and complex taste, and a thicker louche too. The recipe is still there, no doubt, we can easily recognize the chef skills, and to keep this comparison, we can say that the chef has simply changed the market he was usually going to while keeping the same secret recipe."
