Absinthes.com features the Lemercier distillery

As you might already know, we are featuring one of our distilleries each month. We’ll give you some information on their background, their history, their products, as well as an interview with the owners and master distillers. We will also offer you a chance to explore their products.

Today, we will continue this series with a quite small, yet sympathetic distillery in Fougerolles, France: Lemercier.

Get to know our distilleries – through the “Distillery of the Month”

We are always looking for ways to pass on all the knowledge we gain through our work. Therefore, we will start publishing a monthly newsletter, that will introduce one of the distilleries, where we get our absinthes from. The stories will contain pictures, interviews and a lot of background information about each one of them. This will be extremely interesting, because many of these distilleries have been around for centuries, and most of them are still family run.

In order for us to gather the right information together, we have to be at the distilleries! This is why we took a short trip to Fougerolles, France, on Friday, and visited two local distilleries: Lemercier Freres and Paul Devoille.

I am not going to go into too much detail here (otherwise, the newsletter would be worthless!), but you can take a look at a couple of first pictures here:
