The Teeling Single Grain Whisky is derived from 95% corny malt. Its light color with a red tint is a result from maturing the whisky in red wine casks.

Only 5.000 bottles are made each year, this is a small batch master piece. The Teeling Single Grain Whisky was awarded the gold medal for „Best Grain Whisky“ at the Irish Whisky Awards in 2016.

The aroma is mellow, sweet and fruity. Slightly spicy. Grain whiskies are usually a little lighter and less complex compare to other types of whisky, for example single malts. This whisky is light, easy to drink and offers notes of berries, grapes, cinnamon, herbs, butter, and toffee.

The Teeling distillery was first founded by Walter Teeling in 1782. The family business grew quickly, and soon became an essential part of the Irish whisky industry. Unfortunately, due to a line of stroke of fates within the family, the business was discontinued in the 1970s. Around 40 years later, in 2014, the Teeling family opened a new distillery and revived their families‘ whisky legacy. The phoenix on the Teeling logo resembles the new start.
