Faude Feine Brände - 'Zibärtle' Wild Plum Eau-de-Vie 40%--50cl
Zibärtle (pronounced tsii-bear-tlé) is a rare and unique plum eau-de-vie. It is derived from very small plums, an ancient species that was first mentioned during the Neolithic Age.
The eau-de-vie tastes quite tangy and dry, and you can find some notes of almond there.
What makes the FAUDEfeineBRÄNDE eau-de-vie so special and unique, is the high quality, and the quantity of the fruit. Each Zibarte wild plum, is hand-selected and inspected for bumps and dents that could impact its pure taste. The Faude family has their own orchards for some of their fruit spirits, however many ingredients are sourced from friends and other local farmers. Florian Faude, born in 1984, represents a new, innovative and perfectionist generation of distillers. Read less

The Faude family name is very renowned in the Kaiserstuhl region of southern Germany. The Kaiserstuhl is known to offer the most mediterranian climate for cultivation of fruit and plants in Germany. Every year, countless numbers of tourists travel to the Kaiserstuhl to take a hike through the beautiful vineyards and to visit local wineries or distilleries. Florian Faude is a young and passionate distiller, who took over his fathers’ licence and stills in 2006 and expanded the business very quickly. Adjacent to the distillery are the large family orchards and fields where Florian Faude grows most of his ingredients himself: Rye, wheat, fruit, grapes, apples, pears, nuts, and so on. If he‘s unable to produce a specific ingredient himself, he carefully selects his suppliers – preferably from local sources. Faude feine Brände are the most exquisite brandies we have every tasted – rich in aroma, full-bodied flavor, and as intense as no fruit brandy before.
