Gin OMFG 2020 - Oh My Finest Gin 45% - 50cl
Out of stock
OMFG 2020 marks the official partnership between the Zufanek distillery and the Expo 2020 in Dubai. Martin Zufanek dedicated the unique botanical in the OMFG 2020 to this partnership: myrtle (Myrtus communis).
Myrtle gives the gin a particularly aromatic taste and a special floral and oriental touch.
Myrtle is an evergreen shrub that has been a symbol of happiness, love and fertility since ancient Rome. For example, at wedding ceremonies the bride wore a myrtle wreath on her head. Today, myrtle is still occasionally used at weddings to bring luck to the bride and groom.
OMFG Gin is a true collectors item – as soon as the bottles of this batch are sold out, there will only be a new edition in 2021, with a new botanical (Martin is keeping his lips sealed as to what that will be).
The last editions of OMFG have been refined with Pontarlier wormwood (2019), Bourbon pepper (2018), catnip (2017), Ginkgo biloba leaves (2016), Hougari frankincense from Oman (2015) and Mexican damiana (2014).

Zufanek, Czech Republic
The Zufanek Distillery was founded in 2000. At first, the family focused on the production of honey and fruit based liqueurs. In 2008, Martin started to distill absinthe and the St. Antoine was the first one of this distillery. Shortly after the launch of St. Antoine, Martin created La Grenouille, and absinthe Mead Base. What's special about this distillery is that all fruit used for the production of their spirits are cultivated on their own orchards. Most of the herbs used for the absinthes are also grown by the Zufanek family themselves. Their mission is: 100% natural products.
