Griottini - Aperitif with cherry and wormwood 15% - 0,5l
Out of stock
A different take on wormwood: the Griottini combines the wormwood plant with sour cherries. The result is a liqueur that is both bitter and sweet and can be enjoyed neat as an aperitif or in cocktails.
For the Griottini, the distillery Peureux takes its Griottines, cherries preserved in liqueur, to the next level. The cherries are macerated with wormwood and infused with a touch of bitterness from quinine and gentian.
The exciting blend of absinthe and red fruit enlivens the typical anise flavor with the tart cherry liqueur. This makes Griottini a perfect match between herbal and fruit liqueur. It is suitable for anyone looking for an aperitif with balanced sweet and bitter flavors.
The distillery "Grandes Distilleries Peureux" from Fougerolles, France, has 150 years of experience in the production of fruit brandies, but is also known for the absinthe Un Peureux.
The Griottini works well neat on ice, accompanied by lemon or orange zest, as well as with sparkling water. It is also a delicious ingredient in simple or fancy cocktails. For example, enjoy 6 cl of Griottini with 6 cl of orange or cranberry juice in a glass of ice cubes. (For more recipe ideas, click here).

1811, The Lemercier family used to run a farm and distill Kirsch and Plum Brandy for mostly their own use, but for other people from around Fougerolles as well. After noticing the rising demand for their spirits, the family decided to found their own distillery in 1811. Nicolas started distilling absinthe around the same time, however, he had to stop during 1915 due to the worldwide ban of absinthe.
1991, After finishing his business studies, Alain Aureggio, Desle'S grand-grandson, decided to take up the family business.
Lemercier's absinthes and liquors :
Their probably most popular absinthe is the Absinthe Abisinthe - available in a 72°, 72° Amer and a 45° version. These are classed as the ideal absinthe for people discovering this drink. Some more absinthes in the Lemercier product range are the Absinthe Coeur d'Absinthe double and triple distillation - two significant blanches! Furthermore, Lemercier distills several eau-de-vies and the Green Demon Absinthe.
