The Koskue Gin is made by the Kyrö Distillery in Finland. It is the barrel-aged brother of the Napue Gin.

The Koskue gin is a rye based gin. Fresh plants such as birch leaves, meadow sweet, cranberries and orange peel are distilled. The resulting aromatic gin is aged in small barrels, hand-crafted from the finest American white oaks. This oak barrel storage gives the gin its beautiful golden yellow colour.

The taste is characterized by the aroma of oak barrels, the spices of rye and orange scents. Subtle notes of honey and pepper are appreciable and play with the fresh aromas of oak wood.

The name Koskue refers to a small town located in the same region as the distillery, in Finnish Ostrobothnia.

The Koskue Gin was awarded the Gold Medal in the category Gin and Tonic at the International Wine and Spirits Competition 2015.

Napue Gin is made out of 100 % rye and more than 15 selected plants. Some of them even come from the surroundings of the distillery, like meadowsweet, birch leaves, sea buckthorn and wild cranberries. These ingredients are deeply rooted in Finnish nature. Enjoying a glass of Napue is almost like inhaling the scent of a Finnish meadow in bloom.

Characterized by its herbal taste, the Napue Gin is nevertheless sweet. The meadowsweet oils and light notes of lemon are perceptible. On the palate, complex aromas of plants are prevailing and the finish has notes of pepper and rye.

The gin was awarded the title “Best Gin for a Gin & Tonic” at the IWSC 2015. A gin that has no equal!

The Verso Single Malt Rye Spirit is made of 100 % rye malt, and aged for at least 4 months in new American white oak barrels. The distillery uses small barrels, which they claim means the whisky ages without losing its spicy character.

While tasting Verso, aromas of oak, liquorice and anise are perceptible. Spicy sweetness with a finish of cinnamon and honey.

The name Verso means “sprout” in Finnish and symbolises the seed of the rye whisky. After the Juuri Rye Spirit, the Verso represents the next step on the way to a finished whisky. The very first Kyrö whisky will be put on the market in 2017, after being stored at least 3 years in oak wood barrels.

Juuri Rye is a clear, unaged spirit, essentially whiskey that hasn't been in a barrel yet, or moonshine.

Made with 100 % rye malt, the Finnish Kyrö Distillery has put this spirit on the market to give us a taste what their final whiskey – due out in 2017 - will be like.

Rye is a famously robust grain which can survive the harsh northern climate, cold and dark. Out of adverse conditions often come strong characters, this is as true for plants as it is for people. Rye is no exception – it has a much stronger aromatic quality than its delicate cousin wheat. Which makes eating rye bread a more intense experience, and makes rye spirits something rather special!

Regarding flavour, Juuri demonstrates a strong rye aroma, as well as fine light touches of liquorice and anise. The spirit is characterized by a malty sweetness and the spiciness of rye. Already a strong hint of what the finished whiskey will be like. The aftertaste evokes traditional Finnish rye bread.

As well as Juuri Rye Spirit, a lightly aged version is available too: Verso – barrel-aged.

Bourbon has a solid legal definition. It has to have a minimum 51% corn (maize). Some distillers could see that as a barrier to creativity. For KOVAL however, it has inspired them to try out new things. Whereas the vast majority of bourbons use rye or wheat for the other 49%, KOVAL Single Barrel Bourbon whiskey uses millet.

Millet is an ancient gluten-free cereal, one of the main foods in parts of Africa and Asia. This original and harmonious mix of corn and millet makes this Bourbon a unique and aromatic spirit.

Only the heart cut of the distillate is used, to ensure the best quality. After distillation, the spirit is aged in a newly charred American oak barrel where it can age in peace, the flavours harmonising.

Amber-coloured, KOVAL Bourbon has notes of cereals, peppery caramel, vanilla and fruit: mango chutney, and apricots. A light clove and tobacco finish.

Single Barrel Rye Whiskey by the KOVAL distillery, the city of Chicago's first craft distillery since the prohibition!

Far from a typical rye whiskey: Although it is made from 100% rye, this whiskey is fresh and light, with a slight flavour of maple, and some spicy notes. Only the heart cut of the distillation is used. After distillation, it ages between 18 and 24 months. The liquid in each bottle comes from one barrel only, without being blended. A pure rye whiskey experience.

Unfiltered. 100% Rye.

Peppery and floral, with a subtle scent of vanilla and cereal.

In the USA, this is known as “White Whiskey”. Sometimes compared to aquavit, rye spirit has a long history in the USA, an even older traditional spirit than bourbon. George Washington's distillery are known to have produced a version.

After being distilled, it spends a very very small amount of time in a barrel before being filled into bottles. If you want to experience rye without the effects of ageing in oak barrels, without woody flavours, this is a rare and great opportunity to do so.

Enjoy pure, on the rocks or in a cocktail.

Details $53.50
$107.00/Liter
The Vit Opal Absinthe (White Opal) is made by the Swedish distillery Svensk Absint and is the first white absinthe to come out of Sweden.

The distillers place incredible importance on using only the finest plants available to them. In many cases they decided they could do better than using commercial herb sources, and so either forage wild herbs, or grow them themselves in the distillery's herb garden. Along with the plants that are also used to make Grön Opal, Vit Opal contains some additional plants. The exact recipe naturally remains a closely guarded secret.

This absinthe is characterised by the use of grand-wormwood, which is foraged in specific areas of Sweden where it can be found growing wild. The wormwood plants are harvested sustainably, ensuring there is enough left for future years. The amount of absinthe bottles the distillers can produce depends on the amount of wormwood they harvest during the summer.

A creamy and full-bodied taste sets Vit Opal apart from other blanche absinthes, although it does have a slight Swiss La Bleue-ish aspect to it, along with a hint of camomile and a slight touch of lemon grass. Definitely one of the best Blanche absinthes on the market!

Details $27.50
As with our Spanish style Pontarlier glass, this absinthe glass has a pan-European history. Based on the Pontarlier glass from the France-Comté region in France, which was the capital of absinthe making back in the day. After absinthe was banned in France, the Pernod company, an enterprise producing impressively large amounts of absinthe (Pernod's factories in Pontarlier would have been producing a large proportion of their daily absinthe production - 30,000 litres back in their heyday), moved to Tarragona in Spain. The production of absinthe in Spain led to the demand for locally produced absinthe glasses, like this one, and the Tarragona absinthe glass with dripper, and this Pontarlier absinthe glass without facets.

This glass is larger than any other absinthe glasses we sell, exactly how it was when first made back at the start of the 20th century. It is still made with the same glass-blowing mould from back then.

Very useful for absinthe tastings with close friends, if you prefer for absinthe with more water than average, or if you want to have more air space in the top of the glass to let the aromas of your absinthe develop more than other glasses permit.

These glasses have been made and finished by hand, not machines!

Hand made in Europe by artisan glass makers! A faithful reproduction of the absinthe glasses that became popular in Spain in the 1920s to 30s. Following the absinthe ban in France, some absinthe producers including Pernod moved absinthe production over to Tarragona in Spain, where absinthe was - and still is - legal. This created demand for locally-produced absinthe glasses and drippers. This kind of absinthe glass and dripper is nowadays referred to as the Tarragona style.

$50.00/Liter
This apple and cinnamon liqueur is made by the Valkyria Distillery (formerly known as Sankta Annas Bränneri).

The Ratatosk is an original Swedish product, made in limited, small batches using Swedish apples. The liqueur is bottled by hand in elegant black bottles.

Just like the distillery's fine absinthe Valkyria and Midvinterblot, the name Ratatosk comes from the sacred tree of Norse mythology Yggdrasil, and Ratatoskr, a squirrel who runs up and down Yggdrasil, carrying messages between an eagle in the branches and a dragon who lives among the roots.

This apple-cinnamon liqueur is perfect for autumn and winter nights. The fresh taste of apple is fortified by the relatively high alcohol content (30%). Cinnamon rounds it all off marvellously.

The Deniset Jeune absinthe is one of the few clear absinthes made by the Emile Pernot distillery. It is characterised by its freshness and its distinct wormwood flavour.

The name “Deniset Jeune” refers to a former absinthe distillery, Henri Deniset, inventors of the pine-bud liqueur called Liqueur de Sapin. This distillery was founded in 1867 in Pontarlier by Henri Deniset Jeune. It became famous under the name Deniset-Klainguer, and after almost 110 years of operation was acquired in 2006 by the Emile Pernot distillery, keeping the important historical brand alive.

The label is a vintage Deniset Jeune Absinthe advertising poster, sketched by French artist Marcellin Auzolle, features the character Pierrot (beloved by Belle Epoque absinthe producers) appears to depict a scene from Dom Juan.

Enjoy Deniset Jeune in the traditional way, with water and sugar, or in a cocktail.

The La Paille Absinthe was made by the Emile Pernot distillery in La Cluse et Mijoux, especially for the 14th edition of the music festival of the same name.

The straw in the bottle makes this absinthe special and gives it a slight yellow colour, as well as a subtle, pleasant straw aroma. It actually refers to the name of the absinthe and the festival: indeed La Paille means straw in English.

This absinthe is characterized by its original design, by the artist Jenny Calinon. The rather striking collage-style label features a little girl with a goat and cartoon lightning bolts , and was the official poster of the 14th La Paille festival.

The La Paille absinthe is very fruity, with distinctive flavours of anise and fennel. The taste is reminiscent of a typical blue absinthe from Switzerland. This spirit is perfect for absinthe connoisseurs, as well as for beginners.

The La Paille absinthe is only available in a limited edition. Only 500 bottles were made.

Worn by Polish nobility from the 16th century onwards, the Kontusz was an elaborate and elegant winter garment, a sort of decorative robe. At some point in the following centuries, perhaps due to its noble associations, the Kontusz's name was lent to a liqueur, which in hand also became incredibly popular.

Distilled from spirit, anise, fennel, cumin and coriander, Kontusovka (or in the original Polish, Kontuszówka), was popular for decades, before falling into obscurity towards the end of the 20 Century.

This light herbal elixir has been brought back to life by talented Czech distiller Martin Zufanek. Taking an original Polish recipe from 1901, he has added five more herbs to the recipe.

And most remarkable of all: The spirit he has used for extracting the flavour from the herbs was three year old mead, distilled by the Zufaneks themselves from their own honey.

A noble and worthy drink. Recommended.

Walking on a sunny afternoon in early summer, you might stumble upon a walnut tree, branches laden with green walnuts. As much as you'd love to pluck one from the tree, crack the hard case in half and tease out a delicious, crunchy and rich nut, the green walnuts are still young and their hard shells remain unformed. You might think this is a curse, whereas in fact it is very much a blessing, because it's possible to infuse the whole 'fruits' in spirit and make one of the most delicious substances in the world: Walnut liqueur. Be very thankful indeed.

Northern Italy is famous for its Nocino liqueur, the French have Liqueur de Noix ...and the Czechs have Ořechovka.

Czech distiller Martin Zufanek's family have been making walnut liqueur for generations. At least, Martin can trace their recipe back to his great-great-grandmother. Tasting the Zufanek family's Orechovka, we can clearly see she knew how to make walnut liqueur of the highest quality.

The Walnut Liqueur from the Zufanek distillery is obtained by soaking young green walnuts and 9 other herbs and plants in a neutral spirit. That's how the walnut liqueur gets its bitterness, balanced by a subtle sweetness. After infusion, the liqueur is separated from the walnuts and spices, and is left to age for 2 years, ensuring perfect harmony between walnuts and spices.

With an alcohol content of 35%, this Walnut Liqueur is perfect enjoyed as a digestif.

Alongside this walnut liqueur, the Zufanek distillery is particularly famous for their excellent absinthe (the best Czech absinthe around), pear brandy, Slivovitz and OMG Gin!

As with all of the Zufanek Distillery's fine spirits, Visnovka is 100% natural. The sour cherries come from the distillery's orchard, set in the idyllic White Carpathian Mountains.

Soon after the cherries are plucked from the tree, they are left for three months to infuse with selected spices and pure spirit. After bottling, it is once again left for another period of ageing. That is how this liqueur with a 20% alcohol content is made. Very fruity and with a touch of port wine in the bouquet.

You can enjoy the Cherry Liqueur in your long drinks or with crushed ice in a cherry frappé. Unlike many liqueurs, this Visnovka is not ultra sweet, adding to its versatility for cocktails.

Alongside this sublime cherry liqueur, the Zufanek distillery is renowned for their excellent absinthe (the best Czech absinthe around), pear brandy, Slivovitz and OMG Gin!

The Absinthe Libertine 68 Amer is the third Absinthe of a series, following Libertine 55 and Libertine 72. Made according to a recipe from 1894 and is characterised by a savoury bitterness. Like all absinthes from this range, the Libertine 68 is made from a distilled blend: each plant is infused in alcohol and distilled individually before blending.

In its composition are included mainly grand wormwood, green anise, star anise, liquorice, fennel, coriander, Melissa, hyssop and veronica. This mix creates an excellent absinthe with character.

The Absinthe Renaissance was made by the Guy Distillery in cooperation with the Friends of the Pontarlier Museum to celebrate the 15th Absinthiades. It was awarded the Silver Medal in the Blanche category.

Its name was inspired by the 100th anniversary of the absinthe ban in France. It refers to the the resurgence of absinthe tradition happening now, a century after the prohibition.

This absinthe is special due to spending 18 months resting in an oak barrel, and absorbing all kinds of wonderful flavours from the wood:

Delicious and subtle aromas of vanilla, coffee and liquorice.

All the plants and herbs used for the production were carefully selected by François Guy and his son Pierre, in order to place the special taste of wormwood centre-stage.

Slipstream absinthe pipes bring the advantages of the traditional absinthe louche ritual - as you'd get with a a water-filled fountain or carafe, along with spoon and sugar - with much greater convenience for a single serving.

The traditional absinthe louche ritual we know and love: with water-filled fountain or carafe, a spoon and sugar, is a delight to behold. Many minutes of pleasure watching a louche form, white vapoury trails as the absinthe goes cloudy. This tradition is a delight, however it is not always the most practical.

The people behind Slipsteam have come up with a new way of serving absinthe that keeps the pleasurable bits about the traditional absinthe serve, and adds convenience. Rather than having to set up a fountain, or sloshing water all over your table, it's all a very neat affair. And dishwasher friendly!

If you are travelling and still want to enjoy absinthe, the pipe is particularly practical because of its detachable straw, and the fact it is made of borosilicate glass (also called Pyrex). This gives it an incredible strength compared to normal glass.

We understand and love the traditional absinthe ritual, and the Slipstream Pipe is not something for everyone, and not for all occasions, however Slipstream has got decent praise from some well-known people in the absinthe community, in particular highlighting its convenience.

Runa Vodka Silver is a small batch Swedish craft Vodka, made with organic ingredients. The right choice for those who appreciate the Scandinavian qualities of pureness and freshness.

With its alcohol content at 37.5%, the Runa Vodka Silver is somewhat milder than the original Runa Vodka, but with a taste just as impressive: a pure, subtle flavor, with some notes of rye coming through on the nose. The special blend of different types of grain makes Runa Vodka unique.

Only ingredients that are grown regionally and meet Runa's exacting environmental standards make it into Runa vodka. Guaranteed organic according to the strict SE-EKO-01 certification scheme.

Runa's creators chose the town of Malmköping for bottling, due to the incredible purity of the water coming from the local Malmköpingsasen springs. The whole region is designated as a water protection area to ensure the groundwater remains remarkably clean.

The design brings together ancient and modern Scandinavia. The bottle is an example of modern Scandinavian design, a collaboration with a Swedish glassblowing school. A competition was held to design a unique bottle, and the result was what appears to be molten bottle, distorted and squashed by someone with a strong grip.

History runs deep: Runes are to be found throughout the design. Some are hidden and have to be discovered on the bottle in person. Others are in plain sight: Around the bottle's neck, attached with black cord, swings a troll cross. This is a protective talisman made of metal, in the form of a rune. It takes us back to the time when the Vikings travelled across the vast horizons of the northern world. Until the 19th century runes were used in some parts of Sweden. Indeed, Runa is the source of the modern word Rune.

The Absinthe Rhum Decollage – Wormwood-infused Rum, is the result of a very successful experiment.

The recipe for Absinthe Rhum Decollage was inspired by an academic study performed by Alice Peeters in 1976: “Le petit paysannat Martiniquais et son environnement végétal”, which described how farmers in Martinique used to soak various plants including grand wormwood in rum, rather like the tradition of 'Rhum Arrangé' in Guadeloupe, Reunion and Madagascar: rum infused with spices and fruit.

Wormwood-infused Rum is obtained through the maceration of grand wormwood and other plants in a high quality rum from Martinique, sugarcane amd wormwood distillates. The result is a slightly sweet rum with wonderful herbaceous notes. It is important to note that unlike absinthe, this rum does not contain anise. Additionally, the wormwood flavour is stronger than in traditional absinthe.

Officially a region of France, Martinique is in the Carribean, which has a much better climate for sugar cane. The name comes 'Decollage' is a nickname for the first 'Ti-Punch' rum cocktail of the day. Yes, some people in Martinique like to enjoy their rum at sunrise. There is a popular (and erroneous) belief among some people there that a rum at 8:00 am makes you stronger and allows you to start the day off right. We can only remind everyone to consume this rum responsibly, however delicious it may be!

Absinthe Française du Levant, which is also known as absinthe France Japon, combines the French and the Japanese flag on the label.

The unique aspect of this Absinthe is a rare ingredient: Japanese Lemongrass. Monsieur Fumoux, the distiller of this absinthe, shared with us that he's convinced that if the Japanese had developed absinthe in the 19th century, then lemongrass would have been used in the production.

Unlike lemon balm (also known as melissa), lemongrass contributes very particular flavours. In terms of aroma and taste, lemongrass has a clearly dominant role.

A new taste experience, especially for those who already know classical absinthes and want to try something fruity!

You can find out more about this special absinthe from absinthe expert Marc Thuillier's tasting notes.

The Absinthe Apocalypse is not only an outstanding design, it is also a high-quality absinthe!

The Absintherie Bourbonnaise has succeeded in creating a modern and stylish absinthe while respecting traditional techniques and ingredients. This is real absinthe.

The first high-quality spirit presented in a skull bottle was Crystal Head Vodka. Absinthe Apocalypse is much more interesting than a vodka could ever be though, with a rich variety of high quality herbs including the classic anise, grand wormwood and fennel.

It is delivered in an illustrated box that not only provides information about the absinthe traditional absinthe drinking ritual, but also offers an optimal way to keep the bottle protected from light.

This Absinthe captivates with its own character. An authentic Absinthe naturally colored, and distinguished by its subtle herbaceous notes. In terms of aroma and taste, lemon and peppermint are easily distinguishable.

The name Absinthe Apocalypse was inspired by a section of The Book of Revelation, also known as as The Apocalypse Of Saint John. Parts of Revelation Chapter 8 are also printed on the box of the bottle:

And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;
Revelation 8:10

And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.
Revelation 8:11

The absinthe Le Coq Vert is produced by the Bourbonnaise distillery and it has an alcohol content of 65%. Its color is green and a little bit amber colored too. This Verte is based on a modern recipe, containing a lot of herbs that can also be tasted. Due to the mint used, the absinthe Le Coq Verte is added a particular freshness.
The label displays a coquerel (french = coq) whose feathers, in different shades of green, will remind people about the huge variety of plants that are used in this absinthe. The coquerel was the national symbol of France and absinthe was once the national drink of the country.

A new recipe from the distillery Devoille that combines exceptionally exotic and rare varieties of wormwood grown in the grounds of the distillery. The wormwood varieties grown by Devoille have been picked after the first frosts and snowfall, giving a special aromatic intensity to the botanicals used for distillation.

The Absinthe du Centenaire is characterized by its floral and herbaceous notes, the freshness of fennel and the unique notes given by rare varieties of wormwood.

The original Roquette was an experiment: an attempt to try and get back to the roots of absinthe, when it was more herbal elixir than evening beverage.

After the successful creation of Roquette, a new experiment was undertaken, one that would require a lot of patience and tight lips: until this very moment it has remained a closely-guarded secret:

A batch of the original Roquette 1797 was placed in a wooden cask, and carefully stowed in a cool and dark corner of the distillery. Five years later, we have tasted it and can safely declare the experiment a grand success!

The effects of time and aging in wood are unmistakeable. The subtle vanilla notes of the wood marry perfectly with Roquette's herbal elixir qualities. The beautiful cognac colour reveals hints of its original green absinthe hue when you hold it up to the light.

Exclusive limited edition. Only a small number of bottles are available, and it's first come, first served.

Developed by T.A. Breaux, a professional scientist and absinthe specialist, Coeur de Jade forms the "heart" of classical absinthe and liqueurs distilled by Jade Liqueurs and the Combier Distillery: Esprit Edouard, Jade 1901, Perique tobacco liqueur, and all the others. Produced according to 19th century traditional methods, and distilled from selected wine varieties, Coeur de Jade is the base spirit which gets blended with herbs and distilled to make Jade absinthe.

It is now available after many requests from those who appreciate the traditional Jade absinthes and want to taste the main ingredient of their favourite spirits.

It took a long time to develop such an extraordinary eau-de-vie. Indeed and contrary to many wine spirits, this eau-de-vie is distilled in accordance authentic historical procedures, avoiding modern column still distillation which strips out so much of the beautifully unique fruity fragrances. The end product is wonderfully close to authentic 19th century eau-de-vie.

The distinctive flavours of this smooth and aromatic brandy can also be used as an amazing base for original cocktails. Serve in the same way you would any other high-quality brandy or grappa: in a snifter.

The long awaited final chapter of Jade liqueurs' absinthe portfolio.

The development of Jade Terminus Absinthe Oxygenee took several years: historical sleuthing, botanical research and patience were all necessary to produce this high quality absinthe.

Jade Terminus is an homage to one of the best absinthes of the Belle Epoque: Cusenier Oxygenée. The Cusenier distillery created this absinthe in reponse to claims that absinthe was dangerous, and claimed that their proprietary oxygenation process left the absinthe free of any potentially deleterious properties. We now know that absinthe is only as harmful as any other alcoholic drink, however this unique oxygenation process lent a unique character to the absinthe, so to make Jade Terminus Oxygenee Ted Breaux decided to use a hot oxygenation process closely mirroring the original technique.

This handcrafted absinthe is distilled by T.A. Breaux, according to traditional french methods, and aged fully for several years. Absinthe alembics from the 19th century have been used for its destillation in the historical Combier distillery. This absinthe is made of a eau-de-vie base spirit, unusual Alpine varieties of wormwood, and other European herbs. No sugar or artificial colours are in the recipe. This absinthe has rested for an average of 3 years before bottling.

This absinthe represents the most powerful expression of the spirit in the Jade portfolio!

Creamy, with potent aromatics and a lengthy, stimulating aftertaste, recalling the medicinal origins of the spirit.

Blanche Neige won the gold medal at the Absinthiades 2014.

The fairest absinthe of them all...

Our aim is always to share with you the finest of spirits. We've taken this dedication a step further by developing our own range of fine spirits. All of these spirits are absolute classics, some of them also taking tradition and giving it a slight twist!

We are proud to present the first of these very special beverages.

Absinthe Blanche Neige is in every sense of the word a classic: everything from the recipe, to the distiller, and the village where it is distilled.

When commissioning Blanche Neige, we only considered a select few of the finest absinthe distillers alive today to be up to the task. It was very soon clear that the cream of the crop was Gaudentia Persoz, one of the world's most talented absinthe distillers, and who has achieved great success with her own absinthes.

The recipe is based on an antique recipe from the private archive of a family steeped deeply in the tradition of absinthe: that of Gaudentia's husband, Jean-Michel Persoz. This makes a classic clear La Bleue absinthe.

What makes Blanche Neige that extra bit different is a precious and priceless ingredient, the root of a plant renowned for its aromatic qualities. Only found in the Alps, this herb, known as génépi, grows wild in the Alpine hills around the Haute-Alpes. Gaudentia was thrilled to experiment with génépi, finding the perfect amount to suit the historic recipe.

It took us 6 full trial distillations in total to finally be satisfied with the result, and tweak the recipe used. The distiller's proof edition of Blanche Neige was the first batch available, and now we're pleased to offer you the first full-sized 50cl bottles.

Its sleek design with its square and rectangle-shaped holes give the spoon a modern look. Its Art Nouveau style with the vitality of today's design features is combined with the inscription on the handle, reminder of the long tradition of the Pernod Fils brand.

What is so special about Pernod and Pernod Fils? Henri-Louis Pernod was the first distiller to help open an absinthe distillery in 1798, shortly after absinthe was first discovered as a drink. He then founded his own business in 1805 in Pontarlier, France. During the 19th century, a major popular vogue arose in Parisian bistros and bars where people used to gather and share Pernod with its absinthe serving accessories.

Place a sugar cube on the spoon, slowly drip water over it to revive the absinthe ritual.

This aperitif is a French specialty of the Jura region and is produced by the Michel distillery in Chapelle-des-Bois.

The Gentiana is obtained from the distillation of the gentian root. The result is a savourous liqueur with quite a characteristic taste and containing 16% alcohol by volume.

Thanks to its rather low alcohol content, it is possible to enjoy the Gentiana pure, on the rocks or blended with some water and a lemon zest.

HR Giger Wolfsmilch was named by Giger, and inspired by a book called „HR GIGER and the Zeitgeist of the Twentieth Century“ written by Stanislav Grof. The book is the first one of its kind to analyze Giger's visionary world from a psychological perspective.

Giger became extremely popular after he designed the creature in Ridley Scott's sci-fi horror classic Alien – it even earned him an Oscar in 1980. But long before that, he came up with absurd and fantastic art work, sculptures. Often, his work evolved around the spooky and at times futuristic representation of human bodies and machines in a cold, interconnected relationship, which was described as „biomechanical“.

Giger died on May 12, 2014 at the age of 74 – his work, inspiration and unique taste will never be forgotten. This absinthe was the last project he worked on, and there is only a limited number of bottles available.

Enjoy HR Giger Wolfsmilch with some ice water.

The label of the Pernod Absinthe with its old fashioned style aims to remind of the prestige and tradition of Pernod, and its recipe.

It aims to bring back the original Pernod Fils - using a recipe from the 19th Century. This absinthe is distilled from a wine alcohol base, in a French distillery in Thuir (not far from Perpignan). All artificial colours were banned from the previous recipe, and its now natural green colour is obtained through maceration with nettles.

Pernod also uses the world renowned Pontarlier wormwood - the place where the legendary Pernod Fils distillery used to distill its absinthe.

A decent absinthe with a nice variety of herbs.

Slivovitz is a Brandy made from plums. Only small quantites of this delicious Brandy are made at the Zufanek distillery each year. The distillers use only ripe plums to guarantee the signature taste of a typical, civic Slivovitz.

The plums used for this Slivovitz are all cultivated and harvested from the organic certified Zufanek estate in the Czech Republic. The production process requires a lot of precision and time. Starting with the harvest and the selection of the plums (only ripe and healthy fruits are processed further). After selecting the plums, they are prepared to ferment for at least 2 months, in an air-tight 160l tank, where they can develop and reveal their aroma.

The time spent in an oak barrel adds lovely hints of vanilla and wood to this fruity spirit. A tasty composition!

Absinthe Cousin Jeune is a quite strong blanche - with its 65%, it lies slightly above the average ABV for clear absinthes. This results in a rather bitter, yet floral aroma.

Cousin Jeune himself used was an absinthe distiller during the Belle Epoque around 1900. When absinthe was banned, he is said to have launched a "thujone free" absinthe which he aimed to establish on the market. He is also believed to have helped Armand Guy financially, when he was having difficulties founding his family distillery.

Today, Dominique Rousselet, the master distiller at Emile Pernot, is reanimating an absinthe from before the ban, with this recipe from 1898. The distillery is renowned for their long list of high quality absinthes, many of them carrying several awards. However, their range of absinthes mainly consists of vertes, which makes Cousin Jeune even more special! The label he uses for his absinthe is a print of a historic advertising poster for Cousin Jeune Absinthe.

The label is a copy of a historic advertising poster for Absinthe Cousin Jeune, showing a lady with red hair, carrying a tablet with a large absinthe glass and a bottle of Absinthe. She says "Ask my cousin" which probably implies that she serves her cousin's absinthe.

Vodka that is flavoured with cannabis is rather rare. However – like many other spirits that are flavoured with all sorts of aromas (for example, Absinthe Cassis Liqueur) these days, this trend doesn't make an exception for one of the most famous spirits in the world, vodka.

The distinct, slightly sweet aroma of hemp is obtained from especially for VODCA cultivated hemp flower – somewhere on fields in Switzerland. An amazing 1,5 tons of hemp flowers are required to obtain only one liter of this precious aroma. It's then brought together with the German distilled vodka. Even though VODCA is quite strong with its 40%, it has a smooth and inviting aroma to offer.

Enjoy VODCA ice cold as a shot, or over ice. VODCA mixes great with fizzy, refreshing cocktails.

A smooth and soft Brandy made from Williams pears, and aged in an oak barrel. The diverse aroma and taste typical for this type of pears add a long-lasting, intense and lovely taste to this distillate.

The distillers at the Zufanek distillery follow strict and success-oriented procedures for the production of all their spirits. For this Brandy, only pears of the highest quality are used. The Zufanek family cultivates the majority of the fruit, herbs and other plants necessary for their spirits on their own orchards. The Zufanek estate received an organic certificate for their 100% natural production.

The aging process in a French white oak barrel adds a rich sweetness and a strong aroma of dried pears to the result. Enjoy Hruskovica neat, as a digestif.

Chartreuse liqueurs are especially valuable spirits that are produced by monks of the Carthusian order in the grand charter house of the monastery, in Voiron – near Grenoble, in France.

The production of Chartreuse liqueur is wound up in many secrets and myths. There are only two monks, Minister Benoit and Brother Jean-Jacques, who know the 130 various ingredients of the original recipe. Other sources relating to the original recipe are known by a third monk. We are relatively sure that ca. 1/3 of the ingredients originate in the Chartreuse region and the other 2/3 come from all over the world. All the ingredients, even including the coloring agents, used in all the charterhouse-produced liqueurs are 100% organic.

In Scandinavia, during festivals and holidays, it's common to see bottles of herb-infused schnapps and aquavit passed around the dinner table or passed between friends during a crayfish boil. Of all of the different type of infused schnapps, the traditional "besk" or bitter schnapps is one of the most unique.

Avery Glasser, co-founder of bitters and bitter liqueur producer Bittermens, decided to keep the tradition of bitter schnapps production alive using very traditional methods. First, a high proof aquavit is made by infusing caraway into strong spirits. Licorice, rhubarb, citrus and other herbs are then macerated in the aquavit to slowly extract their flavor. Distilled wormwood is then blended in and the schnapps is finished with a little bit of sugar.
