The quality of the wine from 1942 is sensational. Even when many of the vine branches were destroyed in the 1940 frost and never quite regained their fullness, and also contrary to early worries during the winter, the harvest crop was of ample size. The Vin Jaune 1942 from Château Chalon displays a beautiful, golden color and an alluring, balanced sensation on the nose. A wonderful flavor excites the palate with a grandiose, complex finish. An excellent vintage!

The Domaine Jean Bourdy is a very old winery in the French Jura region. Founded in 1579, the family domicile and business looks back at a longstanding history of wine-making. Today, the business is run by the 15th generation of Bourdy relatives. The Bourdy family cultivates their own vineyards and produces exquisite wines only. The business switched to complete bio dynamic cultivation and production and was awarded the Demeter-badge for organic standards in 2010.
